Community reporting
« Back to Glossary IndexCommunity reporting is when everyday people share stories, information and updates about their local areas or lived experiences. It helps communities tell their own stories and make sure local voices are heard. Unlike traditional reporting, which is usually led by professional journalists and media organisations, community reporting puts local people at the centre, giving them the tools and confidence to share what matters most to them.
For example, people might use their phones to record audio or video about their lives to show politicians or researchers what needs to change in their neighbourhoods.
