Trauma Responsive Greater Manchester Fund
The Trauma Responsive Greater Manchester (GM) Fund is awarding grants of £5,000 to £10,000 to voluntary, community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across Greater Manchester. The Fund is designed to support organisations to move beyond basic awareness of trauma and embed trauma-responsive environments within their services, systems, and settings.
The Trauma Responsive Greater Manchester Fund is supported by Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) as part of the wider Trauma Responsive Greater Manchester (TRGM) programme. It is being managed by Salford CVS, on behalf of 10GM.
This fund is open to applications
Grants of £5,000–£10,000 are available to help voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations across Greater Manchester embed trauma-responsive practice into their services, systems and spaces.
The fund is designed to support organisations to move beyond basic awareness of trauma and take meaningful action to embed trauma-responsive approaches across their work.
Trauma-responsive practice recognises the impact of trauma on individuals and communities, and focuses on creating environments that are safe, supportive, and empowering.
All proposals must align with at least one of the priorities of the fund. Strong applications will demonstrate a clear understanding of trauma‑informed principles, explain how these principles will be applied in practice, and set out robust outcome measures to show meaningful improvements in wellbeing and resilience.

Priorities of the fund
We are looking for projects that go beyond basic training and embed trauma-responsive practice into organisations and communities.
Your project must align with at least one of the following priorities:
Training and Education
Deliver trauma responsive training for staff or volunteers that goes beyond basic awareness and demonstrates measurable impact.
Policies and Procedures
Review and improve organisational policies and processes to better reflect trauma informed principles.
Learning, Reflection and Evaluation
Gather feedback, run reflective practice sessions, and develop systems to continuously improve trauma responsive delivery.
Key Dates
- Fund opens: June 2026
- Application deadline: 12pm (midday) on 7 August 2026
- Decisions announced: Within 6 weeks of the closing date
- Project delivery period: September 2026 – September 2027

Do you accept applications submitted after the deadline?
No, sorry, due to a high number of applications received, we cannot accept late applications.
What support is available for applicants?

Is the fund okay for organisations that were constituted less than two years ago?
Yes, it doesn’t matter how long you have been constituted for, you just need to be a constituted voluntary, community or social enterprise (VCSE) in Greater Manchester or for Greater Manchester residents. You will need to have a minimum of 3 directors and an asset lock. Companies limited by guarantee will need a minimum of three directors, and within their Articles of Association, a statement about their purpose and social impact, a not-for-profit clause, a director remuneration clause, as well as a clause stating that assets will be distributed to another not-for-profit organisation fulfilling similar objects if they dissolve.
We deliver projects within Greater Manchester, but we aren’t based there. Are we eligible to apply?
Yes, although your project will need to be in Greater Manchester for Greater Manchester residents.
