Following the closure of Wigan Borough Community Partnership in early 2021, we are in ongoing conversations with colleagues in Wigan: 10GM's aim has always been to see strong support for the VCSE sector in all parts of Greater Manchester. There are several support initiatives in Wigan at present:
Groundwork is working across the North West of England to create stronger, healthier communities, responsible business and greater prospects for local people.
Exists to build on the expertise developed in the Abram Ward Community Charity in order to maximize local resources and instigate, nurture and develop community business and social enterprise across the whole borough of Wigan, providing the knowledge, skills, networks and platforms, to enable social enterprise in all its different forms to thrive, thus contributing at a significant level to the education, employment and enterprise in Wigan and its neighbouring boroughs.
