Offers a 'matching' service between hosts and arrivals.

 

Shelter
Housing Guide for refugees and people fleeing war. 
Emergency helpline 03301 755 121 during opening hours if you are homeless, have nowhere to stay tonight, are worried about losing your home, or are at risk of harm or abuse in your home.

 

Homeless England
A comprehensive database of Homelessness services and helps individuals find local services. 

 

Manchester Refugee Support Network (MRSN)
Supports refugees at their drop-in Centre based in Moss Side. Their services are tailored to the needs of refugees, who understand the specific difficulties they face, which include language barriers, cultural issues, and lack of familiarity with British systems. Because of their experience, they also understand the interaction between immigration status and welfare and housing entitlements.

The Greater Manchester Ethical Lettings Agency
Run by a group of housing providers with a long-established reputation for successfully managing tens of thousands of homes across Greater Manchester. They are committed to working with landlords to make more homes in the private rented sector available to tenants who really need them, while minimising risks to landlords through our proven and robust management approach. 

 

Manchester Mind
Provides free and impartial advice on welfare benefits, debt and housing to people with mental health needs living in Manchester. 

Bank Accounts

 

Citizen's Advice
Can support people to open a basic bank account which has minimal requirements. 

 

Shelter
Can offer support on how to access or open bank accounts.

 

Money Helper
Has a resource page on fee-free basic bank account for those who don’t already have a bank account, or don’t qualify for a standard current account, and includes how to qualify for one, what documents are needed to open one, and how to use it.

A provision especially for people who in the last 9 months have been granted Humanitarian Protection, Refugee Leave or other Leave to Remain status. You can get support and guidance around what steps to take now that you have been given the right to reside in the UK.
