VCSE Leadership Development Programme
For existing VCSE leaders.
Our programme for Existing VCSE Leaders was open to anyone with experience of leading or managing within the VCSE sector in Greater Manchester.
“These Leadership Workshops are designed for leaders and managers in the VCSE sector who, despite limited resources and time (and lots of plate spinning!), play a vital role in inspiring teams and driving change across Greater Manchester. This series comprises creative and practical development sessions tailored for VCSE managers and leaders. Together we will share, enrich, and develop processes and practices, that strengthen organisations, support our teams and develop both our personal resilience and network of peer support.”
Our programme for Existing VCSE Leaders was open to anyone with experience of leading or managing within the VCSE sector in Greater Manchester. Places were offered to 20 participants, who co-designed the programme content with Kerry Tottingham from A Brilliant Thing CIC.
The programme includes monthly online and in person workshops exploring topics including:
Motivation and collaboration
Influence and navigating change
Wellbeing
Sustainability and succession
Reviewing, processing and sharing
“Making connections with others in group with similar experiences has been invaluable in terms of my own reflective practice”.
“I’m thinking differently about the future and things that we can do as a team to strengthen us collectively as well as individually.”
Participants in this programme are drawn from a diverse range of small and medium-sized VCSE organisations/groups, with areas of focus including community arts, activities and services for communities experiencing racial inequalities, user-led support for disabled people, services for people with long-term conditions, women’s empowerment, mental health, physical activity, wellbeing, youth work and community hubs.
Some organisations have a Greater Manchester reach, with others working in the following localities: Bolton, Bury, Manchester, Oldham, Rochdale, Salford, Stockport, Trafford and Wigan.
The VCSE Future Leaders Programme comes to an end in June 2024. We’ll be putting together a report to publish our learnings about the programme soon after.
