It’s an exciting time to join the 10GM team! We are recruiting a Strategic Lead to work closely with our other team members, Directors, local infrastructure, and GM partners to deliver our vision.
Using your up-to-date and detailed understanding of national, regional, and local policy, you will provide leadership and senior representation; develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders; and turn ideas, aims, and aspirations into tangible, deliverable projects.
To be successful, you will need to be a self-starter with great organisational skills who is confident to juggle competing demands and provide direction to others. You will need experience representing organisations or partnerships at a strategic level and identifying and securing funding opportunities. Good knowledge and understanding of project and risk management is important, together with great stakeholder management experience.
The role will require you to work flexibly across a range of work programmes. To give you a flavour of what that might entail, some of the current 10GM projects include:
Supporting our sector to engage in new opportunities in the GM Mayor’s flagship Live Well approach.
VCSE Local Infrastructure Development
Developing great VCSE infrastructure support in each locality within GM.
Data, Insight and Intelligence
We are exploring how we grow our sector’s capabilities for gathering and sharing data and insight about our communities and sector.
Ensuring that local voices are represented and able to shape the Leadership Group’s work.
Co-ordinating locality engagement and supporting implementation of the three-way collaboration agreement between the Greater Manchester Combined Authority, the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership, and the GM VCSE sector.
Working to positively influence commissioning by embedding the recommendations of the framework within neighbourhoods.
