Business Development Lead - 10GM

This is a new role which will join the 10GM team for a two year contract, drive opportunities and secure resources to help achieve 10GM’s plans and objectives.

The Role
As the Business Development Lead, you will be tasked with overseeing 10GM’s portfolio of contracted activities and lead on the development of partnerships, projects, organisational systems and procedures.

Specifically, in addition to securing resources, you will develop and deliver a three year strategic plan in conjunction with 10GM member organisations that achieves the objectives shared by all. You will develop services and activities, identify and secure new income streams and lead a team in involvement with bids and tenders.

Your role will also involve:
- Preparing tenders, contract bids and grant proposals
- Establishing systems and processes for effective working
- Leading on compliance activities including funding regulations and data
- Ensuring suitable support is provided for 10GM board meetings

About You
To be considered as the Business Development Lead, you will need:
- To be an exceptional bid writer who has excellent project and contract management skills
- Knowledge and experience of organisational compliance and risk management
- Experience in operational management and assuring quality and performance
- To be organised and analytical in your approach
- The confidence to set up and implement new systems and processes
- To be an effective communicator in person and in writing, with demonstrable skills in report writing
- Confidence with data, numbers and using a range of operational platforms and software
- Great interpersonal skills and the ability to foster and maintain effective relationships internally and externally

Strategic Lead - 10GM

The Role
As the Strategic Lead, you will be tasked with playing a key leadership and representation role within 10GM and ensure the organisation can fulfil its purposes, aims, contracts and commitments. You’ll build links across partner organisations and associates, identifying opportunities, sharing information and resources and maximising the efficiency of the 10GM initiative.

Specifically, your role will involve:
- Maintaining and developing relationships with stakeholders across the public, private and VCSE sectors
- Creating a positive partnership with Greater Manchester in line with 10GM’s values
- Identifying new funding opportunities and developing proposals
- Utilising national, regional and local policies that can be used by 10GM members to enhance influencing

About You
To be considered as the Strategic Lead, you will need:
- To be a skilled influencer who can operate at a senior level and bring solutions
- The ability to secure, lead and deliver projects and programmes to agreed timelines and outcomes
- To be driven by social justice and passionate about the VCSE sector
- The ability to manage complex partnerships and relationships
- To be collaborative and relational in your approach
- To be interested in social policy and can make this accessible to others
- The ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- To be a skilled communicator in person and in writing and effective in producing communication content for a variety of audiences
